For all you ppl who are not in the know, MGS/ Metal Gear Solid / MG / Metal Gear is a covert game.

You are a covert ops, or what you kids can call it, "Spy". You control Solid Snake, a covert ops, who is tasked to kill of certain people, save certain people or maybe just blow up a whole facility.

Basically, your a one-man army against a large force. You are equipped with meagre weapons and tools and must find your way to your objective. If you meet with resistance, completely kill them off or simply, don't meet them at all. If enemy soldiers spot you, they'll radio their HQ and reinforcements will arrive to kill you.

It's an action-packed game and btw, it's not fps. It's graphics are intense, it's plot even more. The gameplay is simple but yet complicated. You are alone and you must complete your objective.
